Did You Get This Alarming Email from Google?

In another recent blog post I published December 30, (see here: ), I alerted website owners about Google's new mobile search feature that clearly denotes which websites are mobile responsive.

Today, I read a post by Matt Southern about how Google is proactively emailing website owners alerting them to how their search ranking may be affected if they do not update their website.

The email reads as follows:

Google systems have tested [X amount of] pages from your site and found that 100% of them have critical mobile usability errors. The errors on these [X amount of] pages severely affect how mobile users are able to experience your website. The pages will not be seen as mobile-friendly by Google Search, and will therefore be displayed and ranked appropriately for smartphone users.

Bold Prediction
Matt even went out on a limb to predict that eventually Google may eliminate non-mobile responsive websites from their search results. No one can know for sure but an email like this from Google certainly reinforces how important this is. Read the full content of Matt's post here:
